Hybrid- Local History Room & Zoom
Learn the story of abolitionist and Norwegian immigrant Hans Christian Heg as he grew up in his adopted land. Pioneering during uncertain times was a life and death story, sharing both joy and sorrow. He became a Civil War Colonel who died while leading a charge at the Battle of Chickamauga in Georgia. Once you learn the rest of the story, you can determine if he deserves his statue at the Wisconsin capital.
This will be a hybrid class held in-person in the Local History Room and online via Zoom. Registration is only required for Zoom attendees.
