Celebrate America's 250th Anniversary and read through history!

From 1776 to today, our country has grown and changed, but one thing that has stayed the same is our love of reading! History to mystery, romance to horror, self-help to DIY guides, your Largo Public Library has materials for all ages in all formats to keep us reading for (at least) another 250!

Stop by the library to pick up your challenge card for the Read250 Adult Summer Reading Challenge, running June 1st – August 7th. We will read (and listen to) books from and about the last 250 years of America, 13 time periods that will have us travelling through our history. Need inspiration? Pick up the library’s suggested reading lists.

Register for the challenge by completing 1 time period (your choice!); be one of the first 76 to register and win a USA-themed goodie bag with pen, enamel pin, and wrist strap keychain, plus an entry to our Grand Prize drawing! Complete all 13 time periods for 2 extra entries and a “birdy” duo prize. The more you read, the more chances you have to win!  

               

Participants must be 18+, a resident of Pinellas County and possess a valid Pinellas Public Library Cooperative card in good standing to win prizes. All prizes must be picked up in person. 

                                        Challenge cards must be submitted by Monday, August 10th to be eligible.
