When the men went to war, the women went to work. From the first wood-fire of the morning to the final candle blown out at night, Revolutionary women were the backbone of the colonies. Get a hands-on look at the daily survival and strategic contributions of the women who stayed behind—and those who stepped up. We’ll explore the reality of 18th-century domestic life and the incredible burden of keeping a nation alive while it fought for independence. This session is fully interactive, so bring your curiosity!
This is a special PGS 250 presentation commemorating, The Unsung Revolution. This will be an in-person only presentation held in Jenkins Room C. This presentation is being presented by Lori Coffey, President of the Pinellas Genealogy Society and Regent of Caladesi Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution.
