Online Zoom Meeting
A Civil War-era steamboat, overcrowded with POWS returning north, the Sultana exploded and burned on the Mississippi River two days after the Civil War ended. The greatest maritime disaster in US history, more than half of the 2,200 passengers and crew were killed. Overshadowed by the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln, the story of this tragic event has been forgotten, until now. Learn this history and the people surrounding it.
This will be an online only class via Zoom
