Improve your speaking and listening skills through engaging conversational activities suitable for all proficiency levels.
All non-native English language learners are invited to attend weekly Conversation Club. This fun and engaging program provides an opportunity for individuals to practice their speaking and listening skills in an informal, down to earth atmosphere. Each session will have a different topic of discussion, topics might include conversations about travel, cooking, the job hunt, and other life skills. Registration is NOT required. Just show up and have fun conversing and making new friends. Note: conversation club on Tuesdays is NOT the same as conversation club on Thursdays. So, if you can attend both, please do!
Conversation Club is one of the best ways to improve spoken English. The Largo Public Library’s clubs allow English language learners to practice speaking in an informal, relaxed environment. English speaking clubs primarily help participants improve two skills – speaking and listening. The club is made up of people from a variety of countries and backgrounds with different English abilities. The number of participants each week will vary. Registration is NOT required. Note: Conversation club does take winter, spring, and summer breaks - be sure to always check the library calendar.
