Hybrid - Jenkins & Zoom
Learn how traditional and ethnic foods shaped our ancestors' lives and are woven into family stories. Discover the origins of your family's recipes and how food culture connects to genealogy. Explore ancestor villages through the foods and drinks they consumed, and learn why some ethnic groups ran taverns, butcher shops, or bakeries. We'll also show how to use church event records to trace foods like lutefisk or schnitzel - and how to research your ancestor's everyday life, even through photos.
This will be a hybrid meeting held in-person in Jenkins and online via Zoom. Registration is only required for Zoom attendees.
