Students are REQUIRED to attend an ELL student information session before being eligible to sign up for an ELL assessment.
ELL Student information sessions are USUALLY held during the second week of the month at varied times. When you attend an information session you will have the opportunity to sign up for an ELL Student Assessment.
Assessments USUALLY take place the 4th week of the month, Tuesday night, 545 to 745 PM, Thursday morning, 10 AM to 12 NOON, & Saturday morning, 10 AM to 12 NOON.
Up to 3 students can sign up during each scheduled assessment.
The assessment includes an individual interview, reading test, completion of the student application, and short tour of the library.
Once the assessment is completed, ALL ELL students will be added to the waiting list in order to be matched with a volunteer ELL tutor.
Individuals who do NOT arrive on time for their assessment will NOT be able to participate. Please arrive on time.
Questions about the ELL process can be sent to community services librarian, Katherine Kelly, kkelly@largo.com.
