Welcoming Week is an annual campaign that celebrates the work in communities as welcoming places for all. This year’s theme is “We’re All In.” To celebrate the Largo Public Library’s 8th year of participation in Welcoming Week at our Launch Event on Wednesday August 28, 2 to 4 PM, Pat Gerard, former City of Largo Mayor and Pinellas County Commissioner, will give a short talk about the meaning of Welcoming Week. During this event community members will have the opportunity to learn about the Welcoming Week household goods basket drive, meet representatives from local refugee service groups along with other local organizations, and more.
